Paradigm Shift

Everyday feels like Friday this week. Kerja, cuti, kerja, cuti.. how nice if we can have this every week!

Anyway, what have I been doing these past few days?

1. Third sister's 23rd birthday, so I made her favourite tomyam steam boat with peanut butter sauce!

Not to miss Mom's scrumptious laksa Johor during Deepavali. Oh gosh, I really need to learn this. It's just so good! Can't get this anywhere else.

Not just that, I am always at my in laws for makan-makan. I've learned to cook new dishes and boy, my husband's family is making me fat (in a good way I mean!). My parents came for lunch yesterday and they have been fed well as well. Alhamdulillah. Bugis-Padang food. Burp. It's good to know that my mak and mama, ayah and dad are getting along fine.

One of my MIL signature dish that she learned from her bugis MIL; Udang galah masak darat which is also hubby's favourite.

2. I had been hanging out a lot with my two younger sisters and sometimes it makes me so sad that they are not 'young' anymore. There are times when husband and I just want to go out and have coffee, they will be like:
"Along nak gi mana? Can we follow?"
and my respond would be like
" No way kiddo, tomorrow is school night".
" Along! We're in college already laaa!"

And yes they are. I always forgot that they are above 18 and not little girls anymore. I can actually carry any adult conversation with them. From health to boys men to food to world issues to travel etc etc.

My third and fourth wheeler.
Always tagging along whenever I'm on my coffee date with hubby. Selagi boleh.

3. With all the eating and lazing around during public holidays, I made an effort to ... work out. This time it's a no joke as I  myself feel (like finally!) the importance of being healthy and fit. Sigh. Whether I like it or not, I just have to do this, even I'm at the  slowest pace. So, this whole week has been productive with work-out and health activities.

My two health-junky buddies persuaded me to join them for hiking at FRIM. Hiking???? On public holiday where we are supposed to sleep? Gosh.

"Nak jadi Milf or Makcik? You choose!"
Those were their words when any of us starts giving excuses and just lazy! So, off we went and I actually love it!
Putting aside we had soto daging after 3 km of hiking, I think it's totally worth it.

I survived a session of bootcamp by the Metcon X group! Oh gosh. Can't believe it right? A friend, Amirah (she's also another health-junky - read her blog as she shares her experiences and sentiments on keeping fit, clean eating and being motivated)introduced this group to me. There are many other bootcamp group in Klang Valley but because of Amirah and her persistence and consistence (as well as her hot bod!), I gave this a try!

I had fun. It was nervewrecking at first but this is something  that I should consider. I was nervous because I was scared they would force me to do something that I couldn't do, but it was alright. I was one of the slowest but  I survived!

Thanks babe.

Last but not least, I was introduced to an super awesome product by Hai O, Biozone Food Purifier which still amazes me at times but also reminds me to be more cautious on the things I will eat in the future. Sigh to those lost years.

All in all, everything falls into places and Alhamdulillah for the rezeki that has been handed to us.

It's a paradigm shift, a whole different ballgame altogether.

Anyway, signing off now. Wifey duties! Toodles!

Manipedi Treat from Nadia Bakly

On a glorious Sunday evening, Paan brought us (the Guangzhao qualifiers) for a treat of manipedi at Mont Kiara and it was really nice to actually discuss about PB and business while pampering ourselves. Who says this business is stressful?

Thank You Paan for the treat! ;)

The girls before manipedi

Paan, who has been kind and supportive all these times. A mother of a boy (macam anak dara lagi) with five figures income after a year of doing this business. Not bad eh? It's all about determination and it is all for her son!

Nadia Suhaimi, my desk partner in Standard 5 in Kampung Tunku and who would have known now that we are business partner! Alhamdulillah. She's a super smart crazy auditor at EY, who has been doing PB business for 5 good months earning close to 5 figures. She has been really helpful and so so pandai on strategizing and not kedekut at all to share all the knowledge she has.

I've known Rang through Nadia and she's also a crazy-ass auditor in Schlumberger. (That mighty Oil and Gas company that earns millions a day tu). She's going to be my roomie in Guangzhao and I bet our journey is going to be whacko with her around.

If only PB has face and neck nipper! It's so hard to lose the extra fat at that area!

Can't wait for Guangzhao!

I Miss London

London. A place where I used to go every other weekends.

Jangan panic. Not go every weekends from KL (gile ke?) but every other weekends from West Midlands, a place I called home two years ago.  The journey from Birmingham to London takes 1 and 1/2 hour.

OMG! Has it been two years? So cepattt.. Sigh. Rindu nyaaa..

My housemate and I (Sheena), whenever we are bored with our lives in Brum, we would head out and take the first (cheapest) train from Birmingham Moor Street station to London Marylebone (via Chiltern Train). Of course we prefer the fast Virgin Train which will take us straight to Euston Train station in just an hour, but that's only ... when we have extra to spend. Those were the days when every penny counts. Hahah.

The things we did in London:

1) The Cranberries concert at Royal Albert Hall. OMG that was one hell of an experience. I never thought I ever watched this band up close and personal. They are like... the bomb. 'Linger', 'Zombie', 'When you're gone' and many more. Best gileee.

2) If we are ever in London on Saturday, we never failed to singgah Portobello Market (near Notting Hill) just because. Before we depart back to Brum, we just had to indulge ourselves at least for a cuppa of Red Velvet from Hummingbird. Sedapnya tidak la terkata. The soft and moist texture of the cake and the sinful creamy cream cheese. Glory glorrrrryy. Apart from Hummingbird, there are many many more things to do at Portobello. Vintage lovers, say hello to your world!

3) During our depression days, and when we missed Malaysia so so much, the food, the kekecohan of being around Malaysian people,    we just loved going to Malaysian Hall cafeteria. We were there just to eat their roti canai (breakfast), Sup ekor and sambal belacan (lunch) and have their scrumptious teh tarik (supper). A lot of people said that Malaysian Hall's food sucks and all that, but I just don't care. I felt safe there and in a way, it does felt like home.

It may sound..what? Sup ekor? Teh tarik? The little things that we love.

Zaman students at MSD (Malaysian Student Department)

4) Harrods. Should I elaborate?

5) Oxford Street. I miss Selfridges (of course!), my favourites which are H&M, Zara and..... Primark. Nothing beats Primark's leggings.

6)Museums and art galleries. London has the best museums in the world and we've only managed to see the British Museum and Tate Modern. The National Gallery, National History Museum, etc??

Andy Warhol exhibition at Tate Modern

7) West End! I've seen Wicked, Chicago and The Legally Blonde, but the best I've seen was Wicked of course. I cried buckets kot. Don't mind watching it again. But Billy Elliot and The Lion King are next in my list.

There are many many more of London's must-do and must-see pictures that I have in my laptop but those are memories and it will be kept as memories. Cute English cafes that serves original English scones with clotted cream, tea, the fish and chip, Camden town, Borough market, frozen yoghurt, smoked salmon and egg benedict from Patisserie Vallerie, yada yada yada. Banyak sangat la and it won't do any justice if you don't try all of these yourself.

Which you can come with me next year FOR FREE.
Yes, ladies and gentlemen. In 2013 we are going to London and Paris for F.R.E.E!
Mr. Z and I insya Allah!

The Magical FIR

Got this from Wani Johari, she made some research about the FIR and it's magic! ;)

"I'm wondering how fir in corsets work. Googled but not well and fully described. How do the Japanese 'inject' the fir into the thread?"

Someone asked me this question and after some research done, the below answers it all :)

The FIR comes from Tourmaline (mineral crystal) which are crushed to extremely small pieces and weaved into the fibers of PB.

Far Infrared fiber refers to fiber that ‘emits’ far infrared rays. It is usually made from 95% polypropylene and 5% special lead-free ceramicsutilizing our patented technologies. The ceramic is the key for ‘emitting’ the far infrared rays.

The ceramic that ‘emits’ FIR is commonly called bio-ceramic. Bio-Ceramic is made from many different kind of ceramics mixed with mineral and crystal such as Tourmaline.
The mixture is heated together at 1600 degrees centigrade to form the FIR emitting ceramic. After cooling down, it becomes the lead free, bio-ceramic with FIR emitting properties.
Around 1986, it was found in a research station in Japan that, even though tourmaline was broken down in smaller pieces, a positive and a negative electrode existed on both end of the crystal, and the electrodes never disappeared unless tourmaline was boiled near 1000°C.
The bio-ceramic is then ground into micro particles in nano scale and inseminated into polypropylene during the polypropylene fiber forming process.

The fiber is then stretched, twisted and made into various forms for various needs.

Unlike soaking or coating process, with the insemination process, the bio-ceramic particles stay inside of the fiber and they cannot be dropped from washing.
Because the bio-ceramic particles are in nano scale; they are so small and can stay inside the fiber no matter how thin it is.
Once the FIR fiber is manufactured, it could be made into anything that people like such as waist wrap, knee bands, underwear etc.
Tourmaline crystal is not cheap and the process of weaving the Tourmaline into the FIR fiber required some patented technologies from Japan. So, it explains why Premium Beautiful corset seems to be expensive.
How can the bio-ceramic emit far infrared? Will there be any side effects? The principle is very simple.
It is a well-known fact that human body constantly emits thermo energy.
When the bio-ceramic is stimulated by the thermo energy of human body, it converts it into the far infrared rays and reflects it back into the human body. So the far infrared ray emitted by the far infrared fiber is really powered by our own body and there are no known side effects.
So just imagine when you wear Premium Beautiful, your body is wrapped in precious CRYSTAL!!

HENCE LADIES, WEAR IT & FEEL IT FOR YOURSELF. YOU WILL BE AMAZED AT HOW IT CAN TRANSFORM YOUR BODY :)
