Bond Intrigued

I've watched a couple of James Bond movies before, but none intrigued me at all. Well, except for having to watch Pierce Brosnan in his dashing suit (I don't mind that) but having to understand what is the movie about, I'm always already on my way to Rome or somewhere in my sleep. I'm just too lazy to figure out their conspiracy.

But, hubster loves it. He watched ALL James Bond's films throughout his life. The plot, characters, settings, gadgets, cars are all within his fingertips. It's his thing with his dad as they can have hours and hours of discussion just on James Bond.

As for me me, What Money Penny? M? Errr..

But Skyfall?

I beg to differ. I totally love it. I like the fact that Sam Mendes (the director)  revitalized the James Bond franchise with more slick characteristics and more action-packed entry. I couldn't help to feel all tingly while watching Daniel Craig and his lovely British accent figuring out his way around the manor. I love it when Skyfall let us explore the real characteristic of M before she was dismissed.

What's in store for James Bond 2015?

SPECTRE

Will I still be intrigued?

Precious Mineral BB Cream

My first BB cream was a discounted item that I got during Christmas sale and it has been the best purchase I have made in my life. When I first put them on my skin, it feels really different from other foundation or two-way cakes I have used before. It's effortless, weightless and soft. The best part is that you only need a small amount to spread them over even the texture is light.

If you are worried about your skin type, BB cream are made to cater to all types of skin. Even if you have scars or freckles, BB cream works like magic to conceal it and it will give you that beautiful flawless radiant glow and trust me, people will start giving you remarks such as these:

" Wah berseri-seri dia macam pengantin"

" OMG! So, that collagen actually works!"

"Someone got lucky last night!" (Ahahaha ok not funny!)

If any of you don't know what is BB cream, it is an all-in-one facial cosmetic product to replace moisturizer, serum, primer and foundation and sunblock. All in tube. This thing is such a multi-tasker!

If you are wondering which brand I am using for my BB cream, I personally choose Etude (Korean brand) and the range that I used is called Precious Mineral BB Cream with SPF 30!

Why Korean brand over any other brands from the western countries?

Korean celebrities seem to be blessed with naturally flawless skin, (watch K-Drama a lot!). I got to know that they are able to maintain their beautiful skin with the help of BB cream. BB cream was already in the beauty industry in the 60s from Germany and it is actually used to heal scars cause by laser skin surgery. Then it started to spread in Korea and Japan, and it has been raved amongst famous Korean actresses. So yeah, kami pun ter-beli la!

See what television has made me. Shame on me!

I've used Dior and Revlon BB cream before but don't think will buy it again. A bit too thick and I can feel the weight of the foundation on my face. Remember that BB cream is not supposed to even weight as foundation, if you know what I mean.

The price range from RM 89 - 99 and you can get it at any Etude Beauty House in Malaysia. Not overly expensive for all in one product. I experienced no breakouts using it and it's really convenient for travelling or if you are always in a hurry.

Thumbs up from me.

This could come up as a perasan picture but I definitely feel that my skin is actually glowing. When you get the desired complexion, it means the BB Cream takes effect.

So much of my K-Drama influence eh?

Happy Thoughts for the Weekend

As days get better, and I am falling deeper. Deeper what? Deeper in love.

With my husband.

Nothing can describe the feelings I have for him now after living with him for 5 months. Of course there are fights and sulks but then again, who doesn't? At the end of the day, those fights and sulks will be sealed with cuddles and kisses.

You just to get it going that's all.

My aunt joked about me being all in love  " First year Shida, ni first year je "

Well, I hope not.

Have a good weekend everyone!

Hubby is 28!

I love it when husband is 28 and I'm still 27. Hah. Indenial much?

First year as a wife, I decided to splurge a bit on husband's birthday, so yes, we went ahead of ourselves and celebrate just the two of us.

Had dinner at the newly raved fine and dine restaurant, Thirty8, Grand Hyatt, and we had a lovely time.

Food was obviously great (Zaim had M7 Wagyu beef and I had pasta) though a tad expensive but I guess we are paying not just the food but also for the ambiance. The moment I made a reservation for a birthday celebration, they already reserved a spot for us comfortably and strategically overlooking the twin towers. When dessert came (with candles and all), the jazz singers came by and sang a birthday song for hubby which I didn't remember requesting for. All of that goes without saying. Such impeccable service!

The highlight of the night, the food to our soul. A dessert you cannot miss if you dine here.

Thirty8 signature cake - A cylinder shaped chocolate cake, banana ice cream, raspberries served with butterscotch sauce. The cake is a three layer soft chocolate cake and each layer gives a different surprise and it gets better. The top is the moist chocolate cake, the middle layer is a chocolate and hazelnut mousse with bits of caramel brittle. The last part is dark chocolate cake base. It's overwhelmingly yummy. Hubby is not a sweet-tooth but he was seen licking off the last bit of the cake.

Anyway, hubby is a year older and I hope a year wiser, healthier and richer. Wishing my darling a lifelong happiness, contentment and success filled with barakah.  Looking forward to more meaningful birthdays to celebrate in the future dear.

CNY: Looking Back on a Great Life

Yet another meaningful video by Petronas for this year Chinese New Year, revealing Malaysia's favourite snack-dessert, Tau Fu Fah. It really reminds me of Jenny Hong (if you don't know Jenny Hong, it is PJ's most renowned Soya bean stall selling home-made soya bean drinks and tau fu fah. Sedap wo!). I think Jenny Hong has been in the 'soya bean' industry for so long.

Just like what it was shown in the video.

Look back on a great life. Look forward to an even greater one.

Happy Chinese New Year to friends that are celebrating.

Watch Out 2013!

This should be my post LAST YEAR but don't know why I didn't get around to it.

Was 2012 a good year for you? It was for me and certainly no complaints about it, but I know it could have been better.

Allow me to reflect on the highlights of 2012:

#1 I got married! To my best friend of 8 years. That was totally the highlight of 2012 is to put an end of our courtship and entered something bigger and better.. marriage. Loving every moment of it. Pictures will be posted soon. There are so many of it but I am so MALAS to go about it though. Is this normal? Post wedding syndrom perhaps.

#2 I was introduced to a fantastic business by a friend of mine, Nadia Suhaimi. PB business as we call it. We sell high quality corsets with FIR (far infrared). I am so grateful that I was introduced to this business at the right time as I was in need of financial help for my wedding. Alhamdulillah as it did help me a lot. It turn Those corsets were not difficult to sell. You just have to put your mind to it. Apart from selling and the income that you get, you also get to meet people; various kinds from different walks of life.

#3 Travel a bit in 2012. Jakarta for numerous times (5 or 6 times? Can't recall!) . Did a lot for wedding while I was in Jakarta. Did my cards there and it was quite a journey. If you are the impatient type, forget it girls. But I was really patient and enjoyed the process of designing, selecting the materials of the card, ribbons, fonts and what not. I also got the materials for my wedding attire, family and bridesmaids there. Good stuff. And lots and lots of spa session! How can you not resist the spa session while you are in Indonesia? Crazy right? It's very traditional, cheap and clean. How come we don't have cheap spas in KL?

#4 Travel again. FOR FREE this time. To Guangzhou, China. This is an incentive from doing the PB business that I mentioned in #2. Such a 'pampered' trip. Everything was paid for from flight ticket to pocket money! Had lots of fun with the PB girls. Made new friends as well. I killed two birds while I was there. Did some shopping for wedding; door gifts pouches, crystals bowl for VIPs, lace and sequins table runners, cushion covers and more things I could not remember. This was totally a shopping trip.

#5 Lost 8 kg and gained back 6 kg (as of now!)

#6 Living life healthily by doing actual exercises. Can you believe it? It has been ages since I last work out. The last time was 2010 perhaps? Towards the end of the year, I started to be around friends who just love to exercise like I love lots and lots of chocolates. How can they do that? I was very much in denial about not getting older .. "lek lu bro, we are still young" and not realizing that body fats are harder to diminish as we get older, but these people made me realize that exercising is not just about diminishing fats and weights. It came with a lifestyle which is highly encouraged for everyone in a long run. I'll be 28 this year and 28 is NOT YOUNG. Better late than never right? So, one of my *gasp* highlights of 2012 is that I actually tried out bootcamp (just for a session) and I survived the session! The only thing I need now is a lot of motivation to be consistent and persistent in doing this! Can I keep up with doing exercise? It may sounds easy, but is it that easy? We shall see more in 2013.

Oh gosh. Only 6 highlights?

I know it could have been better but I am so grateful those 6 happened and has their own significance. Of course there are other mishaps and incidents that happened in 2012 (guess it is not worth mentioning here) but those are just lessons to be learned.

Out for now.

Watch out 2013!

Golden Globes 2013

This post is overdue. But The Golden Globes have come and gone. Hollywood celebs get to showcase their achievement by flaunting their dresses as if to say the bigger/ sparkler dresses, the bigger achievement? Yay or nay?

Here are my picks of celebrity styles on the red carpet.

My favourite is of course the glowing Anne Hathaway in a sparkly Chanel couture. Simplicity at its best.

Love her. In Alexander Mcqueen.

Kerry Washington  in Miu Miu

Rosario Dawson in Antonio Berardi
