Salam Mubarak

I've been away, and I haven't had a chance to wish you a proper Eid Mubarak. So, selamat hari raya to all of you Malaysians in Malaysia as well as abroad, and Happy Eid Mubarak to every muslims in the globe. How was your Raya/Eid? I hope everyone had a prosperous and fantastic celebration.

My Eid celebration was small and simple indeed, but was a great one. Stayed over at friends' place in Chiswick, London, and during the night, we played Raya songs while Zeileen cooked her rendang. Scrumptious, I tell you! I, on the other hand, made my lontong in the morning and as they claimed it turned out to be not that bad after all as it is my first time making that dish. After our Raya breakfast, we went to the ambassador's house in Hampstead and had some good old typical Raya cuisine such as ketupat, rendang and Raya cookies. (But personally, I think Zeileen's rendang was better la, we went back to the house and had seconds!). Saw Fars and her lovely family all the way from Malaysia as they were here for Alyaa's graduation ceremony and they went for a vacation as well. So sweet kan?

Second Raya..off to Paris I go, which I will update on the next post soon, I hope..

Jellowww Pumps

Furniture company Kartell has teamed up with Moschino to design a pair of jelly flats. The flats, which come in a rainbow of colours, were designed to look like a single ribbon wrapped around the wearers foot and tied in a bow. And for you eco-fashion enthusiasts, the shoes are made of 100% recyclable non-toxic thermoplastic.
Love it love it! And it's affordable!!!

My Merdeka

Merdekaaa!
It's done.. proofread, double checked, printed, bound, sealed, and submitted. 12.30 pm on the 3rd of September. I'm not kidding, it is the BEST feeling in the whole wide world.
My sleeping pattern has been a bit crazy during my dissertation write up mode. I slept at 8 am and wake up at 1pm every single day! It's not healthy and it is making my face more sembab and what my mom would say 'macam dulang'. Hilang seri wei anak dara tido lambat and bangun lambat.

The things I want to do after DISSERTATION:
1. Read novels!
2. Movies movies and more movies
3. Sleep
4. Kemas rumah
5. Shop and revamp wardrobe skit
6. Travel to EU countries
7. Get a part time job!
8. Buy more novels
It is eat, pray and live. Have you guys watched it?

Merdeka Malaysia My Love

Merdeka! Merdeka! Merdeka!

Proudly presenting 2010 Petronas ad on National Day

On this day, I can't help but think of how unique Malaysia is as a country and I am reminded of the beautiful commercials that the late Yasmin Ahmad created for Petronas in conjunction with merdeka. But with the passing of her last year, I guess this is dedicated to her as this ad has resemblances of hers of previous years.

Ooh La La

Skyped with my family just now. It is the best feeling ever, everytime I talked to them..as a bunch. Literally 7 faces (4 sisters, one brother, mom and dad) was on the screen rebut-rebut nak cakap. 'Eh muka Along bulatt la..ehh why so sembap..look at your cheeks' and Amal's favourite line for me and Aiman, 'Where's your neck?'...Thankkkssssss! Pffttt

Actually, I don't mind all that teasing. I don't get that here. It's been a year abroad, sometimes I need that once in a while to lift up my mood. It can be pretty lonely here in UK you see. Friends doing their own thing, I'm doing my stuff and sadly, we have no TV! (Yeah, and who's fault is that?)

Anyway, after completing my dissertation, I have four months to go before my graduation ceremony and before I balik Malaysia for good. I wanted to go home as soon as possible in October, but Dad said "lepak la dulu la sana sampai convo". Furthermore, to come back and forth nanti in December, it's gonna cost his pocket. Might as well duduk sini, and I could get a temporary job so I could support my stay here and plans to travel nanti.

Talking about traveling, Sheena and I purchased return tickets to...PARIS. Nous allons à Paris pour 4 jours et 3 nuits! 4 days and 3 nights in Paris just us. I don't want to get so excited yet as I don't want to anticipate anything nanti jadi tak best.
Okay la, tipu la tu. Excited sikit. I can't hardly waiiittt!

The ever famous Eiffel Tower

The garden of Versailles where Marie Antoinette played and gedik-gedik

Marie Antoinette and clan (I will write more about her after my Paris trip)

The dessert!

French Crepes (This I can't wait anymore!)

French Cafes along the road!

and last but not least...

French Fashion! (I don't think the current fashion is like this, but I just like the sketches)

So, does it mean that I have to start shopping for my Paris trip? Well, the one thing in my mind right now to buy before I depart is this...

DK Eyewitness Travel to Paris (fully recommended by many who has traveled around Europe..I have one already and it has guided me well in Amsterdam)

To those that has traveled to Paris before, any pointers?

Wish List 3 - Neverfull

The thing is about me, I don't like blogs that has no pictures. I'm a sucker for visual images, hence my major in Multimodal Analysis. (Ok, poyo). So, minta maaf banyak-banyak ye to those who are suckers for more words. Unfortunately, it ain't me. I think I expressed better with pictures!

Oh by the way, which one suits me best?

Dance While You Can

This is something that I would like to share. The hobby and talent that I've left and it's hard to pick it up again.

When I was young and fit.
Can you guess which is me?

Good Ol' Weddy

Today I had a good day. Wrote quite a lot for my disso, treated myself for the 'eat-all-you-want' £10 sushi at Shogun, had coffee and dessert at Cafe Rouge near the canal and indulged in a dissertation-free conversation with Sheena and Azizul. I have 9 more days to the submission date and I seriously can't wait any more longer than that! Rimas dah!

So, it was a good ol' Wednesday for me.

On the other hand, I find her really pretty. She's all grown up. My style icon 2.Will write more about her soon.
